Spring Audubon Pilgrimage The third weekend of March each year. The annual spring pilgrimage is dedicated to the memory of John James Audubon,
who set himself the task of painting all the birds in America. Package Tours included: visits to public and private historic homes, vintage dances, rural homestead and
many other festival events sponsored to benefit the West Feliciana Parish Historical Society.

Sarah Knox Taylor Davis Memorial Day - April Daughter of President Zachary Taylor and wife of the Confederacy President Jefferson Davis, this day honors for Sarah Knox Taylor Davis at Locust Grove Cemetery, is now a State Historic Site and the family burial ground for Locust Grove Plantation

Day the War Stopped Held during the summer. For a brief moment in 1863, the Civil War stopped in St. Francisville
for the burial of Lt. Commander John E. Hart, commander of the federal gunboat Albatross. In
commemoration of this unique event in history; a re-enactment of the burial, a play by local performers and other
activities are scheduled.

"Southern Garden Symposium " Southern Garden Symposium & Workshop - October - The Southern Garden Symposium
seeks to preserve and commemorate gardening of the Deep South through
lectures, workshops and a tour of historic Afton Villa gardens. The

Angola Rodeo & Craft Fair Annual event held one weekend in April and every Sunday in October.
Angola State Prison opens its doors for visitors to experience the wildest prison rodeo there is. Popularity of the rodeo increases every year, so be sure to get advanced tickets. A inmate art & craft sale is held in conjunction with the rodeo.

Christmas in the Country Annual event held on the first weekend in
December. Celebrate St. Francisville's Christmas Festival where the entire picturesque historic district is illuminated by tiny white lights. Some of the activities include: a live nativity, vintage dances, strolling gospel choirs, and of course children's Christmas parade. |
Library Tour of Homes The fourth annual West Feliciana Friends of the Library
Tour of Homes will be held Sunday during Christmas in the Country,
between noon and 5 pm. The homes are located in St. Francisville, La. and surrounding countryside.
