Shadetree Inn offers tranquility and rejuvenation in three private, unique and very romantic hideaways.
Each suite has a king-sized bed with crisp cotton sheets, a small library of inspirational books, a stereo with range of soothing musical tapes, cable TV, private telephone, wet-bar with refrigerator, microwave, toaster & coffee maker, and a variety of aromatherapy bath products as the perfect antidote to the tensions of modern day living. Cocktails, an appetizer and deluxe continental breakfast in the privacy of your suite are included.
Shadetree's Gardener's Cottage with its 19 windows ( 12 stained glass) features a solarium and bedroom with sweeping hilltop vistas and a sumptuous bath with "oasis-like" Jacuzzi for two. Antique stained glass windows and a mosquito net draped bed highlight the intimate bedroom.
Shadetree's Loft is repeatedly described as "magic". Up at treetop level with ten foot tall cathedral ceilings and walls of Louisiana re heart cypress, its Adirondack-style charm with skylights over the bed and old-fashioned tub have drawn countless honeymooners. Its balcony overlooks an outdoor campfire and the dale leading to the Mississippi River.
Guests at Shadetree's SunPorch with its
glass-enclosed porch overlooking St. Francisville's Historic District enjoy a shaded treetop
deck with views of the lush hillside. A fairy tale bath with Jacuzzi for two and romantic bedroom
complete with canopied bed and sensuous hand-carved Austrian chandelier, "reward the eye with
